New tracking methodology for the Product Newsletter and Emag Mailing

Concretely, what has changed?

Since 16/04/2024, campaign reports for the Product Newsletter and Emag Mailing track the number of unique clickers rather than the total number of clicks. This enables you to quantify engagement in terms of the number of potential buyers who clicked on your advertisement:

For example, if a Product Newsletter subscriber clicks twice on your highlighted product, we now report “1 clicker” instead of “2 clicks”.

BONUS: Because we are now able to identify unique clickers on the Product Newsletter and Emag Mailing, we can also provide you with GDPR-compliant prospects when subscribers click on your advertisements in these media channels. You can export them directly via the campaign report:

Conforming with industry standards

In recent years, reporting unique clicks rather than total clicks has become the industry standard for email campaigns. As a lead generation service, it made sense for VirtualExpo to adapt to this standard whilst simultaneously developing the capacity to identify the clickers and deliver them to you as GDPR-compliant prospects. This development has also enabled us to improve the detection and filtering of clicks made by anti-virus software.  

How can I process Product Newsletter and Emag Mailing prospects?

We recently aligned the privacy conditions of the Product Newsletter with those of the Emag Mailing. As a result, you can now send sales communications directly to  Product Newsletter subscribers who clicked on your advertisement without obtaining their consent beforehand. Indeed, the new conditions clearly state that the subscriber consents to being contacted by a member of the sales team when they click on an advertisement in the Product Newsletter.
